Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LabWinds (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit our website or use our service. LabWinds is a web platform that provides pharmaceutical and healthcare market intelligence, including a news feed, an entity database of drugs, companies, diseases, clinical trials, and deals, and an AI analyst assistant. We are based in London, United Kingdom, and we act as the controller of the personal information described in this policy. The information we display about drugs, companies, and trials is aggregated and harmonized from publicly available third-party sources and is provided for information purposes only. It is not professional, medical, investment, or legal advice.
Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information. Information you provide: when you join our waitlist, we collect the email address you submit, and optionally any role or therapeutic-area interests you choose to share; if and when you create an account, we collect the account details needed to set it up and sign you in. Information collected automatically: when you use the site, we collect usage and log data, device and browser information, and information from cookies and similar technologies, including analytics, and we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the service, to respond to enquiries, to notify waitlisted users when access becomes available, to keep the service secure, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell personal data. We do not send unsolicited marketing. Consistent with our promise to waitlisted users, we will only contact you about access to the service.
Legal bases for processing
Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases: consent, when you join the waitlist or otherwise agree to a specific use of your information; legitimate interests, to run, secure, and improve the service in a way that is proportionate and respects your rights; contract, where processing is necessary to provide a service you have requested, such as account access; and legal obligation, where we must process information to comply with applicable law.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and to measure how it is used, including through Google Analytics. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function as intended if you do.
How we share information
We share personal information with service providers and processors who act on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics providers. We may share information for legal reasons, such as to comply with the law or to protect our rights, and in connection with a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition. The pharmaceutical and market data we display is sourced from public and third-party sources, including company press releases, ClinicalTrials.gov, drug labels and DailyMed, and public chemical and biological databases.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.
Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, after which we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@labwinds.com.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The service is intended for professional use and is not directed to children. It is not intended for anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page, which reflects when the policy was last changed.

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, contact us at hello@labwinds.com. This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
